For instruction on collecting Eggs to Incubate Please check out My Tips for collecting Hatching eggs!
Found here: "Tips on collecting eggs to incubate"!
When a customer brings me their eggs to incubate I fill out a Customer sheet with their “Customer Number” on it (example 12-006) on this sheet I list number of eggs for each breed if there are multiple breeds. That “Customer Number” is then written (in #2 Pencil) on the top and bottom section of each egg.
Eggs are allowed to set for 12 to 24 hours to stabilize and all come to the same temperature prior to being placed in my incubators. For this reason I request eggs to be dropped off no later than Tuesday afternoon for setting on Wednesday morning when the eggs are then placed into the incubators. The proper Temperature & Humidity are maintain and monitored several times per day during incubation.
On Day 10 (for eggs requiring 21 day incubation) Day 14 (for eggs requiring 28 day incubation) I will candle the eggs and send the customer an email reporting the status of their eggs development. Three days prior to “Hatch Day” I will again candle the eggs and move them into a Hatcher. I will again email an update to the Customer to let them know how their eggs are developing. Each Customer’s eggs will be placed in their own hatch tray so there is no chance of someone getting the wrong chicks back. Once the chicks are hatched and dry they are moved to brooder boxes keeping each Customer’s chicks separate. They are provided Non-Medicated Chick Starter and water with Electrolytes and Vitamins as soon as they come out of the Hatchers. I also email and/or call the Customer to inform them that their chicks are ready for pick-up.

NOTE: Due to the color or thickness of shell on some breeds candling is not always possible.
I require chicks to be picked up no later than the Sunday following Hatch unless prior arrangements have been made. Upon Pick-up I will return the “Chicks and any un-hatched eggs as well as the shells from the hatched eggs” to the Customer accounting for all eggs placed in my care. I will dispose of the shells and un-hatched eggs once the accounting has been completed.
